 So after I wrote the script I decided to make a rough storyboard for my project. Its incomplete but i am getting somewhere !!

 So after a lot of thinking and research, I finally came up with a plot and story for my music video. I  might make some minor changes in the story but for now this is the story; MUSIC VIDEO A2 PROJECT TAHA ZAFAR Song= Oscar and the Wolf Runaway Synopsis A normal everyday person in a dead end job notices a huge house on his way back from work. He plans to meet his friend (the getaway driver) at midnight to rob that house. Soon after a successful hit it becomes an addiction for him and every house he sees he wants to rob. This leads to a series of events in which he is also made to take the life of another person and immediately regrets it, however his friend sends him a picture of a really big house and convinces him to make it his last robbery there. The house they target is being heavily protected by security and soon the police arrives. The video ends with his friend getting killed and him surrendering to the police. The last scene will consist of mugshots of his crew.  

Today Sir Nadeem taught us about different codes and conventions used in media. These codes indicate a deeper meaning when used in any media. The following codes are mainly used; 1. Hermeneutics Codes- also known as enigma codes 2. Pro-airetic codes- also known as action codes   3. Sementic codes- also known to be used to indicate a deeper meaning to something 4. Symbolic Codes- also known as obvious signs 5. Reference codes- also known as cultural codes  Along with these codes we were also taught the different Media theories 1. Hypodermic Needle Theory 2. Cultivation Theory 3. Desensitization Theory 4. Uses and Gratification Theory 5. Audience Recepetion Theory 6. Copy-cat Theory

 So the first step to making this video was choosing a genre, and then a suitable song to go with it. I spoke to a senior of mine about it and he told me that my music video should have a good story to keep the viewers engaged. I thought about the different genres and stories and I thought i should go for an action genre. I had choices between a couple of songs but I finally chose my song, Oscar and the Wolf- Runaway.  Ever since the Covid-19 outbreak, school work has become a lot harder than before as all classes are online now, but I try to keep up. I have been studying a lot about post modernism and i am learning how to master Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects. While it being difficult, I am also enjoying it a lot as i get to learn new things everyday. I am also working on my music video and i will update you guys soon. Till then stay safe!!!
