Today Sir Nadeem taught us about different codes and conventions used in media. These codes indicate a deeper meaning when used in any media. The following codes are mainly used; 1. Hermeneutics Codes- also known as enigma codes 2. Pro-airetic codes- also known as action codes   3. Sementic codes- also known to be used to indicate a deeper meaning to something 4. Symbolic Codes- also known as obvious signs 5. Reference codes- also known as cultural codes  Along with these codes we were also taught the different Media theories 1. Hypodermic Needle Theory 2. Cultivation Theory 3. Desensitization Theory 4. Uses and Gratification Theory 5. Audience Recepetion Theory 6. Copy-cat Theory
